Congratulations, Collins Academy Graduates

On Saturday, June 11, 88 Collins Academy High School seniors became the first ever alumni of the school, and nearly all of them are going to college. Salutatorian Erica Allen showed she has a future as professional speaker (after getting her degree in biology from UIUC), and valedictorian Talonda Williams, who received hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to Augustana College, reminded fellow graduates that they walked across the stage with the help of family and each other. In his commencement address, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel praised students for overcoming adversity and serving as a model to schools around the city.

Please enjoy my photos of Collins Academy’s 2011 graduation and join me in congratulating the graduates.

Mr. Rosentel
